Stacker 3

Stacker was another of those diet pills that had to radically change its ingredients when Ephedra was banned by the FDA. Although probably less potent now, it contains several of the most popular fat-burning ingredients and is still a top seller among the body-building and fitness community.

Probably the best reason for taking Stacker is because of two of its more unusual ingredients, Citrus Aurantium and Chitosan. Citrus Aurantium in particular seems to have some wonderful fat-burning properties, but without the side effects of other supplements like Ephedra.

How Does Stacker 3 Work?

Stacker contains several of the herbal fat-burners found in other pills, plus a couple of unusual ones too. Here is a list of the ingredients and how they work.

Citrus Aurantium
Otherwise known as Bitter Orange, this plant yields a supplement that can help to control appetite.

The most remarkable thing about this valuable supplement is the way it can increase metabolism without affecting heart rate or blood pressure. These were the two things that caused the downfall of Ephedra as a diet supplement.

Guggulsterones
These compounds are from the Indian Guggul tree, used in traditional Indian medicine to increase metabolism by stimulating the thyroid. Another happy benefit of guggulsterones? THey can help to lower your cholesterol.

Caffeine
Increases your metabolism and aids weight loss. Caffeine is found in most fat burning diet pills like Herbalife or Stacker 3, and is largely responsible for the occasional feelings of nervousness and restlessness that they can cause.

Green Tea Extract
Stacker contains an extract from Green Tea named EGCG. Green Tea in a concentrated form is so effective because it increases your metabolism and reduces your appetite.

It has been used for more than 4000 years in Chinese medicine, to cure ailments ranging from headaches to depression, and now is one of the most popular and effective diet aids around.

Chitosan
Chitosan is a remarkable substance derived from shellfish like crabs or shrimp. It is claimed to bind with fat in your stomach and prevent it from being absorbed. The fat passes right through your system before it can be absorbed into your bloodstream.

Garcinia Cambogia
Garcinia Cambogia is an Indian herb used for many years in Ayurvedic medicine to normalize blood sugar levels. The purified form is called hydroxycitric acid (HCA), which suppresses appetite and enhances fat-burning.

Guarana
Guarana is a plant originating from Brazil. It is used as a fat burner and stimulant there, and is actually a very popular drink. One of the nice attributes of Guarana is that it does not irritate your stomach like caffeine can, and is less likely to give you the ‘peak and trough’ ride that drinking coffee brings.

Stacker 3 Side Effects

Stacker 3 does contain caffeine, which can cause nervousness, headaches and higher blood pressure. It used to contain Ephedra, which was banned by the FDA in 2004, but Stacker is now Ephedra-free. Users should still consult their doctor before taking it though.
