Herbalife Diet Pills

Herbalife Total Control is a herbal supplement that claims to boost metabolism, give you energy and increase weight loss. Its all-herbal, low-intensity formula is supposed to give you benefits of a fat burning diet pill, without the nervousness and restlessness that some other supplements can give you.

Herbalife was involved in the scandal over Ephedra, a supplement that was found to have caused heart problems in some dieters. However, Herbalife adopted a new Ephedra-free formulation in 2004, after the FDA banned the use of Ephedra.

How Does Herbalife Work?

Herbalife contains twelve herbal supplements that are supposed to aid weight loss. Although not all are scientifically proven to help you lose weight, as herbal remedies they are beneficial in other ways too.

Caffeine
Increases your metabolism and aids weight loss. Caffeine is found in most fat burning diet pills like Herbalife, and is responsible for the occasional feelings of nervousness and restlessness that they can cause.

diet pill reviewsCalcium
Calcium has recently been shown to prevent fat storage and raise your metabolism, as well as its other positive effects in preventing osteoparosis.

Green Tea Extract
Cortislim contains an extract from Green Tea named EGCG. Green Tea in a concentrated form is so effective because it increases your metabolism and reduces your appetite.

It has been used for more than 4000 years in Chinese medicine, to cure ailments ranging from headaches to depression, and now is one of the most popular and effective diet aids around.

The major active ingredient in Yerba Mate is caffeine, which increases your metabolism and aids weight loss. It does more than just a cup of coffee though, through the way that its unique combination of natural substances work together. It also contains Saponins, plant chemicals that have been shown to stimulate the immune system.

Astragalus Root
An immune booster used in Chinese herbal medicine, Astragalus can also have an appetite-suppressing effect.

Fennel Seeds

Hawthorne Berries
A supplement that lowers cholesterol and protects the heart. It also stops excess water retention by expelling excess salt from the body.

Herbalife also containis a few more herbal ingredients - Marshmallow Root, Parsley Leaves, Suma Root, Cinnamon Bark and Alfalfa Leaves. These have limited effect on weight loss, but as herbal remedies all are beneficial to your health in other ways.
