With this new cleanse, you will be able to drink your way to a thin, lean body with blends of organic juice that are delivered right to your door. For the novice, you may eat a raw vegan meal at dinnertime only, but for the truly committed you will drink the different juices all day long.

This crazy diet can last as long as you like, anywhere from 3 days to 36 and beyond. There are even 3 cleansing levels and a special package for blushing brides who want to trim down before the big day. But, although you will probably lose a few pounds, don’t expect this diet to provide long lasting results.

2. Feeding Tubes

crazy dietsYou don’t have to be a patient at the hospital to get in on one of the new crazy diets hitting the scene. Feeding tubes are no longer for the bedridden anymore. If you don’t mind walking around with a tube down your nose for the next 10 days, you may be able to slim down quickly with this new trend.

Depending on the location that you receive your diet treatment it may be called the KE diet or KEN diet. A doctor will insert a nasogastral tube into your nose and feed it down your throat and into your stomach. This tube will remain in place for about a week and a half, placing your daily nourishment directly in your stomach.

On the “feeding tube” diet, you will only be getting 800 calories (carb-free) a day; allowing your body to burn up existing fat.

Other doctors warn that while this low calorie diet can help you lose weight, it can also leave you with side effects like constipation, dizziness, and kidney stones. And, there is no guarantee that the weight lost will be all fat. You might find your muscle mass dwindling as well.

3. HCG

Chances are you have already heard a lot about this last contender on the crazy diets list. HCG diets are everywhere, promising big results in less time with up to a pound of weight lost each day.

Doesn’t sound too crazy yet, but take a look at what HCG is. HCG is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. This is a hormone that is naturally found in the body… during pregnancy. With these HCG diets you will be injecting yourself with the hormone to hopefully fuel weight loss.

Be warned. In 2010 the FDA cautioned against the use of HCG, saying that there is no evidence to support the use of HCG for weight loss. Whether it is prescription or OTC, doesn’t matter. The FDA continued to say that any HCG sold over-the-counter is actually illegal!

Ditch the Crazy

Crazy diets like these three above may lead to short term weight loss, but you probably won’t be the healthiest person once you come out of them. If you want to lose weight, why not do it in a healthy way that you can feel good about and actually maintain?
